Adopting a greyhound is a lifetime commitment.
The greyhound life expectancy is 12 to 14 years.
To ensure safety and health of the greyhound, the following adoption requirements MUST be complied with explicitly.
Please do not consider adoption if you will not be able or willing to meet this lifetime commitment and adhere to these requirements.
Adoption Requirements
It is vital that you keep your greyhound on a leash whenever they are outside, unless they are in a completely enclosed (fenced/walled) area.
NEVER trust that you have control of your greyhound without a leash.
THEY WILL RUN!
You must keep a collar and identification on your greyhound at all time.
If your greyhound should run or get lost, you
MUST contact FastDogs-FastFriends
IMMEDIATELY.
If a reason should arise that you are no longer able to care for your greyhound or find that you must give the dog away, you
MUST notify FastDogs-FastFriends prior to taking any action.
Your greyhound's racing career is over and you will never try to reactivate her/him as a racer.
The adoption fee is $225.00 and is non-refundable.
All adoptions made by FastDogs-FastFriends are made with the understanding that these animals will be maintained as house pets for the rest of their natural lives.
You have read and understand the Adoption Requirements and agree to abide by them.
If you qualify and receive a greyhound from FastDogs-FastFriends, I/we will accept full responsibility for the greyhound and all of their incidental care.
You certify by submitting this application that all of the information on this application is true and correct.
FastDogs-FastFriends Greyhound Adoption reserves the right to verify all information provided in this application and will not deny adoption based on sex, race, creed, nationality, religious preference or other discriminatory practices.
